Ballooning a House

We are pleased to announce that 'Ballooning a House' (2020), a production by artists Daems van Remoortere, will be presented in the evening at the De Ververij cultural center in Ronse on 11, 12 & 13 September as part of the current exhibition 'Alle Straight Lines Are Curved '. Save the date(s)!

In the video installation 'Ballooning a House' a black sphere gradually starts to grow like a gigantic black hole in a nostalgic house.

With this audiovisual outdoor projection, Daems van Remoortere invite the audience to shift their focus from the earthly horizon into the dark and to rethink our relation with natural forces, our urge to define and classify all and everything in order to understand something much larger than ourselves, as well as our definition of what we call ‘home’.

'Ballooning a House' is a co-production of De Studio (Antwerp), de Warande (Turnhout), Vlaams Cultuurhuis de Brakke Grond (Amsterdam) & Berserk Art Agency.
